Filming will soon begin in Conamara on An Bronntanas, a five-part thriller produced by ROSG & De facto films.
The production is delighted to announce that Irish/American actor John Finn will play the part of Seán Óg, one of the central characters in the 5-part thriller. John’s character will be an Irish speaking local sergeant.
John Finn is well known for his roles in TV series such as Cold Case, Homeland and Suits and films such as Catch Me If You Can, The Hunted, Glory, The Pelican Brief and Blown Away.
“We are all enthused by the involvement of John Finn who is well known Irish language enthusiast. We believe that John’s involvement will not only raise the profile of the series but also add to the international brand of the Irish language”, says producer Ciarán Ó Cofaigh.
The series will be directed by Tom Collins (Kings) and produced by Ciarán Ó Cofaigh and Tom Collins for ROSG and De facto films.
An Bronntanas is funded by TG4, The BAI, Bord Scannán na hÉireann and Northern Ireland Screen/ Irish Language Broadcast Fund and will be screened on TG4 in 2014.
