Actors > Keith McErlean

Keith graduated from the Gaiety School of Acting in June 1998. For the Abbey and Peacock Theatres he has appeared in Lovers at Versailles, Down the Line, Tartuffe, Making History and The Colleen Bawn which toured to the Royal National Theatre, London. Other theatre work includes Studs, We Ourselves (Passion Machine), Cult Movie, project @ the mint, Cyrano de Bergerac, the Gate Theatre, Macbeth with Upstate Theatre Live, and On Raftery’s Hill with Druid Theatre Company which opened at Galway Town Hall and toured to the Kennedy Center, Washington DC, the Gate Theatre and the Royal Court Theatre.

 

Television and film work includes Goldfish Memory, At Death’s Door, When Brendan Met Trudy, The Escapist, Touched by an Angel for CBS International and he is perhaps still best known as Barry in all three series of Bachelors Walk for BBC/RTE. Keith appeared in the leading role of Declan in Blackwater Lightship directed by John Erman for Hallmark Hall of Fame Productions and filmed the role of Toddman in Flyboys with Jean Reno, directed by Tony Bill for Lionsgate Films, released in late 2006.

 

Keith appeared as Dr. Adam in season five of The Clinic for Parallel Films/RTE and appeared in Sky Road by Jim Nolan, directed by Ben Barnes at the Theatre Royal, Waterford. Keith most recently appeared as Shane in the acclaimed new TV series RAW produced by Ecosse TV for RTE2. He will appear as the same character in season two of RAW on RTE in January 2010.
