Áine Ní Dhroighneáin

Originally from An Spidéal, Áine began her acting career with Aisteoirí an Spidéil a number of years ago.

 

Her stage acting credits to date include An County Boy, Fear an Tae, An Triall and An Bacach ag Geataí na Flaithis. She acted in Áille & Allta, Mamó Gé and Diarmuid agus Gráinne with An Taibhdhearc. She appeared as Nora in Salamander’s production of An Braon Aníos and as Rohan in Cailíní an Mhonarcha produced by Aisteoirí an Acadaimh. She worked as production manager on last year’s production of Faoi Dheireadh Thiar by An Taibhdhearc.

 

As for television work, she is best-known as Tara Ní Néill in the TG4 soap Ros na Rún. Her feature films and short films include Cré na Cille (ROSG), Gafa (Icebox Films) and Nollaig Shona (Vico Films/Princess Pictures). She also appeared in two other series on TG4 - Rásaí na Gaillimhe (Great Western Films/Arbitrage Films) and Na Cloigne (ROSG).
